A Chair for the Cabin
As you know, we have been working on our cabin for a few months now. Though we invested in a good quality bed, the rest of the furniture has been inexpensive or free. In the bedroom we had room for a chair and my mom had the perfect one in her basement.
I think it was from the late 60’s or early 70’s. She had 2 but the upholstery on the other was in really bad shape. Though I have never slipcovered a piece of furniture before, I thought it couldn’t be too difficult, especially if you go for a slouchy, shabby chic look.
I chose a stretch denim in a pale yellow and had some wood buttons leftover from a previous project years ago.
My husband was gone over the weekend on a fishing trip so it was the perfect time to make a mess and leave it scattered about the house while I sewed. I can’t wait to show you how it turned out!
