Just some randomness for you today.
I can’t bring myself to pack away the pompom wreath I made in December. So it has moved out of the sunroom and onto a little used door.
I added a burlap poinsettia that I purchased at the Christmas 50% off sales around town.
And do you remember my attempt at planting some hen and chicks into an old ironstone gravy dish. Ya … it didn’t work. They died remarkably quickly. Though I will be on the lookout for some new ones in the spring, I am using a faux one for now. We sell them at our store and they actually look real…at least from a ways away. I “planted” it in some tiny stones from the shores of the Shuswap.
I have been collecting little butter pats for our table when we have “fancy” dinners. I have a few ironstone ones and I recently purchased 5 little silver plate shells that I will use as well. They may actually be salt cellars but I think they will work really well for butter.
The bow detail is so well done for such a little dish! They just need a good polish when the time comes.
I love to set a beautiful table for special occasions. It is about 100% more fun than the cooking! Which job do you like better?
