A Valentine’s Sentiment
Over the years, I have made a few Valentine’s gifts for my hubby. Not every year. Just once in awhile. This year, in a store, I saw a pillow with “I Love Us” on it. I loved the sentiment but the pillow was a little too pricey. So I came up with my own.
I used cross stitch patterns from this book. It is amazing how many different alphabets and motifs they have in this book.
I used some of the leftover denim from the footstool slipcover. I already had the aida cloth and floss as well.
I fastened it with 3 buttons that I had leftover from another project and stuffed it with leftover quilt batting.
I’m pleased with how it turned out and it didn’t cost me anything!
I don’t think it will be something that we use. It will be more decorative. And it is entirely possible that it will migrate to a room where it doesn’t have to be moved every night.
But on Valentine’s Day it will be in its place letting him know, in another way, how much I love being us.
