Do you remember many months ago when I introduced you to this length of vintage filet crochet that I purchased online? Ya, I almost forgot about it as well. I finally did something with it!
I played around with some fabric remnants to find something that worked for this piece of art. I liked this combination of blue from the cabin quilt and white embroidered fabric from the curtain for my utility shelves. I didn’t have enough left to do what I wanted to do though so I went to plan B.
The crochet is quite heavy so it looked really good sewn to a plain white strip of fabric.
I stitched it to the bottom with a little zigzag stitch and it blended right in.
I hung it with a simple rod pocket curtain rod. It was long enough to cover the window easily and go around the ends of the rod.
It covers the blind on this window and I think it finishes the look.
There is another smaller window in that room so I will have to keep my eyes open or maybe make something myself!
