I haven’t had a chance to do much beyond spring cleanup for the last few weeks, so I am going to go back to sharing a few photos from our trip in April.
After a few days in the Green River/Moab area, we decided to head closer to the Grand Canyon. We packed up camp and headed through Capitol Reef National Park and the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument in southern Utah. This route is stunning when it comes to scenery.
The route goes through red rock canyons and over mountains for long distance vistas. And because of that, it wasn’t an easy road to haul a heavy trailer over.
Les and I had traveled part of this route a few years ago. Harley Davidson includes it in their recommended rides and we were able to complete it later in the trip. It is a winding road so isn’t the quickest way across southern Utah but if you have the time it is well worth it.
