As we neared the border on our trip home it started to rain. But though the day remained grey and cool it was a wonderful day! We stayed at a little campground in Milk River and set out in the truck to check out Writing on Stone Provincial Park. I could not believe how beautiful it was!
The visitor’s center was closed for the season but they had pamphlets and signs to provide information on what you were seeing. And they had a campground filled with poplars in their gold leafed splendor.
On the way home we found a house that my hubby’s father had lived in as a child. It is a granary now.
The next day we drove home passing by snow covered fields south of Calgary. It was a wonderful trip with many great memories. A Picaboo book is in the works!
