Flood!
In 2005 Sundre suffered through a major flood. And tonight (June 20) we are going through it again. The Red Deer River has filled up from heavy rain and I assume run off from the Rocky Mountains. It is a gloomy rainy evening here. As it is in many places in Alberta. And around the world for that matter.
I am so proud of the 3 most important men in my life (my husband and my son and my son-in-law) who are out in the community doing what they can to help people who are struggling to keep the water at bay. And I am proud of my daughter who is home with her kids chomping at the bit to be out there with the guys. And I am proud to be a part of a community that works together in hard times like these. I love Sundre! Stay safe everyone!
