Cabinet Progress
I have made some progress on the little cabinet I posted about a couple of days ago. I gave it a light sanding with a sanding sponge and then painted it with Home Hardware’s Designer Series paint in a suede finish. This paint has the primer built right into it so the painting goes much quicker.
Before I started painting, I filled in the handle holes with Home Hardware’s Beautitone Spackling. It starts out pink and then dries to white. I want to have just one knob rather than a handle on this piece and I wasn’t sure exactly where I wanted it placed so I filled both holes to begin with.
And speaking of knobs… So far, I have two possibilities. One of them is a black porcelain knob that I collected on my travels.
The other is a pewter coloured knob that we stock in our store.
I like both of them. I am considering doing some kind of decorative painting on the door so I may have to wait until I do that before I make my decision. Because, you know, I have to make it harder than it needs to be! 🙂
