Shopping Finds
A little over a week ago, I was needing a break from regular life. I’m sure all of you can relate. So I decided to take a few hours and hit up a couple of vintage shops.

I started in Cremona where I found this little pewter plate. I think it will look great under a candle as well.

Then I continued on to Cochrane. My first stop was Cochrane Home Treasures. This shop had been recommended to me almost a year ago, but this was my first visit. Though they don’t carry the kind of vintage items I look for, I did find a couple of brass candlesticks to add to my collection. And some cheap spoons. I am going to try to stamp them with interesting words.

Then after a coffee fueling, I stopped at the Vintage Verandah. I loved this shop. It has vintage items and new items that look vintage. Though everything was interesting, all I picked up here was a bottle of Miss Mustard Seed’s Hemp Oil, a bag of milk paint powder and a Cavallini poster. These posters are inexpensive and pack a big decorating punch. I clip them up and change them when the mood strikes.

It was a good day. I didn’t spend much but it got my creative juices flowing and straightened out my perspective.
