One end of the “Loneliest Road” ends on the border to California.  We decided to take advantage of that and scoot down to Yosemite National Park.  It is our experience that there is always a good reason for land to be set aside as a park and Yosemite was no exception.  Even the ride southwest to get to the park was beautiful.

We entered the park on the east side taking the north road across.  And what an entrance it is!

All along the north route there were domes of white rock.

And beautiful mountain lakes.

And meadows.

Then we headed down to Yosemite Valley to take in the more touristy sites.

Even the route out of the park was vast and gorgeous.

Our next stop is Lake Tahoe!
