Lunch in Jackson

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  Any resolutions or dreams or goals being worked on?  I have a few goals I would like to accomplish this year but we will see how that goes.  Life has a way of getting in the way.

I thought I should finish up the story of our September trip with some highlights of our ride to Jackson, Wyoming.  We had moved the trailer to Lava Hot Springs, Idaho the day before, our last stop before heading home.  We really like Lava Hot Springs, though it was warm enough while we were there that neither of us was interested in sitting in the hot pools.  They do have a wonderful facility though.

We had originally thought we would do a ride we hadn’t ridden before but we changed our minds when we realized how close we were to Jackson.  We had stayed in that area a few years ago and really liked it.  And there was just something cool in saying that we were “going for lunch in Jackson”!

The drive did not disappoint.  The landscape was really varied.  There was farmland,

and pretty ravines,

and mountains the closer we got to Jackson.

Jackson itself is a like a western Banff.  Very touristy and charming.

We had lunch in Jackson and walked around a bit before heading back to the trailer.  On the ride back I snapped this photo with my phone from the back of the bike and it turned out to be one of my favorite photos of the trip!

This day was a fun way to end our trip.  We took two days to get back home, including a stop at a few antique stores in Nanton.  Hopefully we will be able to explore again this year and check off a few more States off our list!
