A couple of years ago I attended a painting class. The teacher was wonderful but, for personal reasons, I was not in a good head space at all and the painting just caused me pain. I primed over it but the canvas has just been sitting, waiting, for restoration.
So I have decided to use my leftover mixed oil paint from each painting I do and put it onto the canvas using a palette knife and see what come from that. I have been putting these paint remnants in a jar or in a pile on my palette all mixed together. So currently, I have mostly greens and greys and browns.
But just wait! I will keep each mixed colour separate from now on and add it to this canvas. I’m excited to see what it looks like in a few months! Beauty can come from unexpected places.
