Today is a beautiful sunny day in my part of Alberta. I love the promise of spring that it brings!
Today I thought I would share a few little bits of beauty that I have purchased or created over the last couple of months.
I made this wreath from jute webbing and a styrofoam form. In this photo, I have a green ribbon for Christmas tied to it but I think it would look great with different items attached depending on the season. Hmmm…what can I do for spring?
A couple of months ago, our store had these little dishes for sale. I filled them with these adorable little red wood mushrooms and little metal bells. I’m not sure what I am going to do with the mushrooms and bells but for now I will just enjoy how beautiful they look.
You know how much I love vintage copper. I have refined my criteria for what I collect and these copper vessels fit it perfectly. They feel solid and have a beautiful patina. They will look great filled with flowers but are also beautiful on their own.
As a newbie to the art world, I have come to appreciate and enjoy a beautiful journal. This one is so gorgeous that I will have to force myself to sketch in it! The leather cover and the deckled edged paper feels lovely in my hands and I hope will inspire my art journey.
My wedding china has a few different pastel colours in the flowers on the edges. I have been keeping an eye out for some amber goblets to use with it. And I found some in our local flower shop. Yay!
Today is a paperwork day but I hope I can fit in a little bit of time in my studio. I recently took a palette knife painting course and I am itching to try to create a painting from one of my own photographs. What are you up to today?
